Zygmunt Bauman: Cosa intendiamo per libertà?
Zygmund Bauman (1925-2017) |
“I believe that the fairer idea of freedom, its most genuine
understanding, is that which you value, above all, the right to choose which
every individual holds and considers. In the second place, the taking up of the
responsibility for one’s own choices and the consequences that they cause;
including, ultimately, the hope that all these decisions will bring about an
improvement insociety. Therefore, this consists of a conception of freedom
which is based on giving rather than taking, on adding rather than
subtracting."
