      Many times in our lifetime, we receive like a warning, like a call to serve and love others. And we need to trust and give ourselves totally to a yet unknown project. With our generous and total acceptance we place ourselves at the service of Love to all people and thus we become an example or model of a luminous adhesion.

      Therefore, the secret is to answer.

      When meditating on these situations, Chiara Lubich wrote: "To realize the designs of Love you only need people who surrender with full humility and with an open availability leaving space for creative activity".

      We can also discover the presence of Love in our lives and listen to that "inner voice" that invites us to make history, here and now, a fragment of his design. Our fragility and our insufficiency could block us. Let us make eternal wisdom our own: "There is nothing impossible for Love" and let us trust more in its power than in our strengths.

      A couple told us: "Since we got married, we decided to open our house to the relatives of children who were in hospital in the city. A hundred families passed through our home and we always try to accompany them. Many times we got economical help. We recently received an amount of money and we thought about saving it, it will surely be useful for some family. Effectively, soon after another family arrived. It is like a game of love to which we should be compliant”. 

      Therefore, the secret is to answer.

      Indeed, with our response, putting love into practice, moment after moment, we will see change the world around us and through the streets of our modern cities, working in the office, at school, in different environments, in the midst of everybody.       In this period before Christmas, let's try to be more face to face with Love, let's try to recognize their voice in our conscience, being sensitive to the needs of our brothers and sisters to contribute to making human life a family, sowing peace to around us and making joy grow in the heart.
